EMENTA:

A disciplina explora a ausência de artistas negros brasileiros no contexto do debate internacional sobre a arte e a história da arte afro diaspórica, especulando o contexto estadunidense que se projeta como se ocupasse o protagonismo dessa produção nas Américas. A questão que conduz a pesquisa busca compreender elementos que contribuem para essa ausência. A proposta é pensar essa produção a partir da noção de amefricanidade, conceito produzido por Lélia Gonzales.
